Presentations:

VP of Membership

Depending on the size of the organization either there is a separate office with a board or the pledge master office is combined. If there was a problem you can go this person and usually the MRB is made up of 5 members, and 1 pledge.

Recording Secretary

My job is to take minutes, give a copy to each of brothers for correction or if you were absent. I also make a chapter directory of everyone name, phone # and address. Also I have to make sure there is enough supplies for all the offices and last I have to try to keep communication within the chapter.

President

He has a fun job he is the cheerleader of the group. He is promoting inside and outside of the chapter. He has to maintain leadership and responsibility towards with nationals, campus officials and make sure the chapter has a good name. He also realized recognition that exists is spring class namesake, chapter certificate-DSK, and last distill membership to someone who is not a member and does great things for our chapter. He also has to make sure money is paid on time for nationals.

New Business

Opening for nominations

There is a limited amount of people with offices this year

Some options we have is keep current offices, switch to semester by semester for the May graduates or redo office reconstruction 7/9 people are willing to hold offices annual

3 seniors are willing to hold offices semester by semester

Renee

Thinks pledges should take lower jobs

We should do this semester by semester until we get our numbers high again

Sarah

Think we should combine Pledge Master/Membership into one office, President, VP of Service, Fellowship. Treasurer should be annual. While Corresponding, Alumni, and Recording Secretary, Sgt. Of Arms should be by semester.

Jeanette

Thinks Sgt. Of Arms should be annual

Pup

>From the bylaws certain offices have to be annual

Richelle

Think pledges should do any office

Move to combine VP of Membership/Pledge Master – PASS

Move to combine Recording/Corresponding Sec- PASS

Move to combine Fellowship and Alumni Sec- Indifferent

Pup

Fellowship does social events and it is a continuous job while the Alumni Sec. is only continuous with the alumni part.

Jeanette

Picked for because alumni doesn’t do anything

Renee

That’s the same reason why she opposed the vote

Richelle

Conflict of interest and would like to change her vote

Sarah

Richelle has been doing both jobs fine this year

Caryn

Alumni is suffering and it doesn’t really matter what you are doing with it

Move to vote again

5-1 Passes

Pup

Will redo bylaws before next meeting

How long of a term?

Richelle & Jeanette

They need to be annual

Sarah

Thinks only Sec. needs to be by semester

Leanne

Annual

Richelle

Pup is your job annual or semester?

Pup

It is continuous of the chapter. He like semester better because people could get reelected and a way out if you don’t like it.

Jared

What do you think three seniors?

Renee

She handled it well being thrown into a position this semester

Michelle

Agrees and want to hold a position

Sister Lynette

Disruption could add to confusion to the group

Jeanette

Agrees and thinks the three seniors should be mentors

Jared

Semester:

Pro: More opportunity

Con: Do lack continuous and disappearing with info.

Move to vote 4-4 Jared vote (Semesterly)
