Our Brother Meetings are held every Monday Night at 7:30 PM in Zurn 333A.  Meeting typically last about an hour, and are occasionally followed by a fellowship activity.  Click on the date to read the minutes from that meeting.

bullet Estimated travel expenses for nationals:

bullet Alan found a bus for $165
bullet Amtrak - $350 (what a deal!)
bullet Would like to do a togetherness/lock-in/bowling/etc. thing
bullet Alan wants to have a Halloween party some weekend before Halloween

 

Vice President (Jared)

bullet Karaoke Night is Oct 3rd
bullet We are having continuous rush. Try to think of some more ideas for rush.

Treasurer (Rob)

bullet We currently have $1712.61 in our account at Sky Bank, plus $306.00 in our Gannon account
bullet Dues are $25.00 this semester, due next week.
bullet The $12 pledge fee and $25 initiation fee for new members will be waived, pending discussion and movement.

bullet We need to fill out our APO reaffirmation forms and re-registration form for SGA.

Old Business

bullet Discount Cards fundraiser still being pursued. We may be able to get them for cheaper than the current price of $2.50 in October. We need to make a list of places we want on the cards and fax it in.
bullet Nationals – If you are going to pay for stuff yourself, make sure you get receipts for everything so that we can get SGA to pay for it.

bullet Every active brother must perform 15 hours of volunteer service a semester
bullet Brothers must do at least 1 service project together per semester
bullet Brian moves for discussion of the proposed service policy. Sarah seconds the motion.
bullet Brian moves to vote on whether to enact the new service policy. Sarah seconds the motion.

bullet Brian moves to vote on waiving new member fees using excess SGA funds. Sarah seconds the motion.

Sr. Lynette suggests doing Give Day (Sept 28) with a freshman group to enhance freshman recruitment

bullet        Richelle, Rob and Jared attended the little how to mooch money off SGA free lunch meeting and found that we have a account with Gannon with approximate balance in the ballpark of $300 smackers, which we have the full intention of draining into our more accessable Sky Bank account
bullet        Speaking of Sky Bank, the current balance is $1700ish (reminder we due owe yearly dues here shortly)

Old Business:

bullet        Discount Card fund raiser being pursued as a joint venture between History Club and us, all run by Brian.  Price will be $2.50 a card and we sell them for $5 each.  Minimum order is 500 cards.  More to come of this exciting adventure
 
bullet        Nationals Info- no pressure, but we need to know really soon who is going and you need to make travel arrangements.  Here's the estimated cost breakdown:

                Bus transportation $165 ish
                Plane transportation $200 ish (both are round trip, please only choose one)
                Conference fee is $50
                Hotel is $80-90 per night with tax, but figure 4 people/6 nights, estimated $125 for housing
                Food and other necessities - Depends on you
        I estimate total cost at $375 + afformentioned food and etc category.  Again, Nationals is Dec 27-30, with us planning to be there from December 26 to January 1, 2003 YIG (year I graduate!)

New Business:
        Family weekend is this weekend and due to miscommunication we are sort of out of casino night
        Next Karaoke Night is October 3 at 7 PM in the Club LaRiccia (please advertise, it really is fun)
